Ward 2
Ward 2 sits in the heart of Newburyport’s South End and includes neighborhoods off High Street between Bromfield and Market St, Water Street between Federal and Brown’s Wharf, and all of State Street down to the Route 1 traffic circle. It’s a mix of historic homes, some dating back to the earliest days of Newburyport’s settlement, as well as the downtown, City Hall, the Police Station, Fire Station Headquarters, Public Library, and both the District and Superior Courthouses. Our ward includes several defining park spaces including the Bartlet Mall and Washington Park, Market Landing Park, Brown Square, Inn Street Mall and Market Square, Patrick Tracy Square, March's Hill, and the Clipper City Rail Trail.
